Terms of Service

Last updated: January 2026

These terms govern your use of Opportunity Toolkit’s services. By placing an order, you agree to these terms.

What We Provide

Opportunity Toolkit provides professional career document services, including resumes, cover letters, career playbooks, and resume audits. We help you present your genuine experience strategically for the Australian job market.

We do not provide:

  • Job placement or recruitment services
  • Legal, financial, immigration, or medical advice
  • Guarantees of employment outcomes

Our services improve how your experience is presented. Whether that leads to interviews or job offers depends on many factors outside our control, including market conditions, your qualifications, and how you use the materials.

Service streams:

  • Create: Comprehensive career document development (Resume, Cover Letter, Career Playbook, etc.)
  • Refine: Resume assessment and improvement (Resume Audit, Resume Revamp, etc.)

Product categories:

  • Strategic Materials: Assessments, strategies, and planning tools (Resume Audit, Career Playbook)
  • Application Materials: Documents we create for you to use in job applications (Resume, Cover Letter, Revised Resume)

Eligibility

Our services are available to individuals aged 18 years and over. By placing an order, you confirm that you meet this requirement.

Payment

Payment is due at the time of order. We accept credit card, debit card, and PayPal. If payment fails, your order will not proceed until payment is resolved.

All prices are in Australian dollars. Prices displayed on our website include GST where applicable.

Australian Consumer Law

Our services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. These include guarantees that services will be provided with due care and skill, will be fit for any purpose you make known to us, and will be delivered within a reasonable time.

You are entitled to a remedy if services fail to meet these guarantees. For major failures, you may choose a refund or compensation. For minor failures, we will re-perform the service or provide a partial refund at our discretion.

Nothing in these terms limits your rights under Australian Consumer Law.

Our Satisfaction Guarantee

If our services fail to meet the consumer guarantees described above (including due care and skill, fitness for purpose, or reasonable delivery time), you are entitled to a remedy under Australian Consumer Law, up to and including a full refund for major failures.

We do not offer refunds for change of mind.

For Application Materials:

If you believe we haven’t met professional standards, contact us within 14 days of final delivery. If the issue is a genuine quality concern (for example, the work contains errors, doesn’t reflect the information you provided, or falls short of professional standards) we’ll make it right at no additional cost, up to and including a full refund if warranted.

If you’d like further refinements to work that meets professional standards, this is what your included refinement round is for. If you’ve already used your refinement round, additional rounds are available for a fee. We’re always happy to keep refining; we just ask that you cover the cost of work beyond what’s included.

For Strategic Materials:

These are professional assessments and planning tools delivered as complete works. If you believe a Strategic Material contains errors, omissions, or fails to meet professional standards, contact us within 14 days of delivery and we’ll address it.

This guarantee is in addition to your statutory rights.

Revisions and Refinements

This section applies to Application Materials.

Reviewing your drafts: Before we finalise your documents, you’ll receive drafts for review. You have 7 days to provide feedback on direction, emphasis, or content. If we don’t hear from you within 7 days, we’ll proceed to finalisation.

Refinements after delivery: Each Application Material includes one refinement round after final delivery. Refinements cover minor adjustments and phrasing tweaks to content we created, as well as corrections to any errors on our part.

Refinements do not cover:

  • New information not provided in your intake
  • Changes to your career direction or target roles after delivery
  • Repositioning or new strategic direction
  • Additional documents beyond your original order

These are changes in scope, not refinements. If your circumstances change after we deliver, we’re happy to help, but this may require a new engagement or additional fees.

Timing: Refinement requests must be submitted within 14 days of final delivery. Additional refinement rounds beyond what’s included may incur fees.

Strategic Materials: These are delivered as complete works and do not include refinement rounds. If your Strategic Material contains errors or omissions, contact us and we’ll correct them.

Cancellations

Once payment is received, work on your project begins promptly. If you need to cancel before draft delivery, you will receive a 50% refund. The remaining 50% covers strategic analysis and preparation already undertaken.

After draft delivery, cancellations are not eligible for refund. For Refine services where the Audit is delivered before the Revamp, the Audit constitutes draft delivery. If you are dissatisfied with the quality of work delivered, our Satisfaction Guarantee applies.

Your Responsibilities

You agree to:

  • Provide accurate, truthful information about your experience and qualifications
  • Respond to clarification or consultation questions within 7 days
  • Review drafts and provide feedback within 7 days

Accuracy: We build your documents from what you tell us. We cannot verify your credentials, employment history, or achievements. You are responsible for ensuring all information you provide is accurate. If inaccurate information leads to problems with your documents or their use, that responsibility rests with you.

Responsiveness: We provide opportunities throughout the process for you to shape direction, clarify details, and provide feedback. If we don’t receive a response within 7 days, we’ll proceed using the information available. Any limitations in the final deliverables resulting from incomplete information are not our responsibility.

Acceptable Use

We reserve the right to decline or discontinue service if:

  • Information provided is unlawful, defamatory, discriminatory, or offensive
  • You request content that is fabricated, misleading, or misrepresents your qualifications
  • Communications with our team are abusive, threatening, or harassing

If we discontinue service for any of these reasons, standard cancellation terms apply.

Turnaround Times

Turnaround times vary by service stream.

General:

Turnaround times are measured from intake submission and pause while we’re waiting on your response, whether that’s clarification questions, consultation questions, or draft feedback. The clock resumes when we hear back from you.

These are estimates, not guarantees. Circumstances outside our control (illness, technical issues, high demand) may occasionally cause delays. We’ll notify you if this happens and work to minimise any impact.

How We Use AI

Our process is designed by humans, guided by humans, and quality-assured by humans. A practitioner shapes strategic direction, reviews at multiple checkpoints, and works through verification collaboratively.

Within that structure, artificial intelligence plays an integral role. AI operates within frameworks we’ve developed and refined, executing our methodology: analysing your intake information, developing strategic positioning, identifying your competitive advantages, calibrating your professional voice, and drafting your documents.

Your personal information is not used to train AI models.

Intellectual Property

You own your documents. The final resumes, cover letters, and other deliverables are yours to use as you wish.

We retain our methodology. Our frameworks, templates, processes, and strategic approaches remain our intellectual property. You may not resell, redistribute, or repurpose our methodology or any templates provided.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our liability is limited to the fees you paid for the specific service in question.

We are not liable for:

  • Employment outcomes (interviews, job offers, career progression)
  • How third parties (employers, recruiters, ATS systems) respond to your documents
  • Consequential losses arising from use of our services
  • Issues arising from inaccurate information you provided

Confidentiality

We treat all information you provide as confidential. Your career details, documents, and personal information will not be shared with third parties except as required to deliver our services or as required by law.

Data Retention

We retain your project files for 12 months after final delivery to support any follow-up requests. After this period, project files are deleted.

If you create an account, your profile information is retained to streamline future engagements. You can request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time by contacting us.

Privacy

We collect and use your personal information in accordance with our Privacy Policy. By using our services, you consent to this collection and use.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date. Continued use of our services after changes constitutes acceptance.

Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of Victoria.
