What services do you offer?
We write career documents for Australian job seekers: resumes, cover letters, and the strategy blueprints that drive them. You answer some questions, then sit back while we get to work. What you get back is bespoke, tailored to your situation and your goals, and built on the research into what actually works.
How do I know if this is right for me?
If you’re applying for jobs and not hearing back, you’re exactly who we did this for. The same is true if you’re returning after time away, changing direction and unable to make the experience translate, early in your career against a flood of applications, or carrying strong credentials from another market that Australian employers are reading wrong. Different situations, same gap.
We’re not right for you if you’re applying outside Australia: everything we write is built for Australian conventions, not translated into them. And if your documents turn out not to be the problem, we’ll say so.
Do you offer LinkedIn profiles, key selection criteria, or interview preparation?
Yes, with more to come. The Career Playbook ($200) gives you a pitch you can say out loud, answers to the questions you’ll be asked, and a plan for how and where to search for your ideal role. A dedicated Interview Brief is coming, built for the interview you’ve actually got. It’ll cover one role in depth, arming you with your own stories mapped to the questions it’s likely to produce, plus a comprehensive briefing on the employer.
We don’t offer LinkedIn profiles or key selection criteria yet. We’d rather build them properly than ship something generic. If you need either now, get in touch.
What makes Opportunity Toolkit different?
Strategy first, always. Most services start with a template and fill the gaps with assumptions, buzzwords, and a generic list of job titles and duties. We start with positioning: who you are, where you’re heading, and how you stack up against the people you’re competing with. We don’t write a word until that’s settled.
Everything after that is built for this market rather than translated into it. Australian English, Australian conventions, the length Australian employers expect, and written to be found by the tracking systems and to survive a recruiter’s first pass.
We hold ourselves to a simple test: would we recommend this if there were nothing in it for us? It’s why the Career Snapshot is free, why the order form tells you if you don’t need us, and why we’ll say so when we’re not the right fit.
Process
How do I get started?
One form, about five minutes. Five questions about where you are and what you’re going for, then our honest read on what would help. If you don’t need us, we’ll say so. You choose what to order from there and pay at the end, and if you already know what you want there’s a shortcut past the questions.
After you order, you complete your Brief: the foundation for your documents. The questions draw out what actually makes you competitive, not just a list of job titles. It saves as you go, and your progress is held for 90 days.
What happens next, and how long does it take?
Once we get your Brief, we start with the strategy: what to lead with, what to cut. Then we write it, and go looking for any holes a recruiter might pick, so we can close them first. If we need any more information from you, we’ll get in touch.
You’ll get any paid work back within 4 business days of completing your Brief, and most orders come back sooner. If you’re the hands-on type, you can choose to review drafts at the halfway point. The free Career Snapshot comes back in 2 business days.
The clock starts when your Brief arrives, not when you order, and it pauses any time we’re waiting on you. Circumstances outside our control may occasionally cause delays, and we’ll let you know if this happens.
So does a machine write my resume?
No. We use AI to amplify the judgement and direction of a person, not to replace them. Your project is led by a person from start to finish: we set the strategy, choose what leads and what goes, make the calls on how your experience is framed, and revise and rewrite until it’s right.
Our frameworks are built on comprehensive research into how recruiters actually scan documents, how tracking systems sort and rank candidates, and what genuinely influences hiring decisions in the Australian job market. AI is how we apply that research to every line, with a level of rigour and analysis no human alone could match. Your information is never used to train AI models.
Every line undergoes analysis, risk assessment, and fact-checking against your Brief. Nothing goes in that you didn’t tell us, and every word pulls its weight, which is why you can defend all of it at interview.
Will my materials be tailored to my industry?
Yes. Every document is built from your strategic positioning: who you are, where you’re heading, and what makes you competitive in your target roles. We analyse your industry, tailor language, emphasis, and structure accordingly, and optimise for the keywords that make you visible when recruiters search.

Do you start from scratch, or can you improve what I already have?
Either. If you have a resume or cover letter, a Revamp ($125) gives you two documents: a full audit report telling you what’s wrong and why, and the rewritten version. If you’re starting fresh, or what you have is pointed the wrong way, a Resume Suite ($200) or Cover Letter Suite ($200) builds it from the ground up, positioned for the roles you’re targeting. The Cover Letter Suite gives you two letters for two different targets.
Everything arrives in three styles, as Word and PDF, and cover letters are set to match your resume. The Overhaul ($200) revamps both documents as a pair, $50 less than two Revamps, and The Works ($500) gives you both Suites plus the Career Playbook, for $100 less than buying the three separately.

Every resume and cover letter includes one revision round. The Suites and The Works can arrive as drafts first if you’d rather review before the final. All prices are in AUD and include GST.
Can I upgrade later?
Yes, at any time. Buying in two steps means paying for both: a rewrite of your existing document is $125, and a build from scratch is $200, so doing one then the other comes to $325. If you’re not sure your existing document is the right starting point, skipping the Revamp and jumping straight to the Suite saves you $125. The free Career Snapshot will help you work out which you need.
How does payment work?
We accept all major credit and debit cards, Google Pay, and Afterpay. Payment is collected when you submit your order and processed securely through Stripe.
If you cancel before you’ve submitted your Brief, we’ll refund you in full. After that, until we’ve delivered anything, we’ll refund half the price of your order. The other half covers work already done.
Concerns
What if I want changes, or I’m not happy with the result?
You’ll have several opportunities to shape the work, before and after delivery.
If you’re the hands-on type, the Suites and The Works come with the option to see drafts at the halfway point so you can shape the direction, emphasis and content of the work before it’s finalised. Every resume and cover letter also includes one free round of revisions in case anything needs fine-tuning as a matter of taste. The Career Playbook is a finished strategy document rather than one you revise, so it doesn’t come with drafts or a revision round. Its forward-looking parts, like the questions an interviewer is likely to ask, are educated predictions rather than guarantees.
If we’ve got something factually wrong, or there’s a gap between what you gave us and what we delivered, that’s covered by our Satisfaction Guarantee for 14 days after delivery, and doesn’t use up your revision round. If we still can’t get it right, we’ll refund you. That doesn’t cover a change of mind. See our Terms of Service for more.
Will my resume pass applicant tracking systems (ATS)?
Yes, and it’s built into everything we produce. But ATS optimisation is widely misunderstood. The real issue usually isn’t rejection. In a 2025 survey of 25 recruiters, 23 said their system doesn’t reject resumes automatically. The problem is visibility: over three-quarters of recruiters search and rank candidates by keywords. If your resume doesn’t contain the right terms, you don’t get rejected. You just don’t get found.
We optimise for that. Before a word is written, your target roles are analysed and a keyword strategy is built into your positioning. Your documents include the terminology, skills, and phrasing that make you visible when recruiters search. Formatting is clean and machine-readable. And because everything is tailored to your specific targets, the keywords aren’t generic. They’re strategic.
Is using a professional resume service “cheating”?
No, and for the same reason you’d hire an accountant at tax time. Writing about yourself for employers is a completely different skill from doing your job well. In fact, research suggests only about a third of people can readily name their own strengths.
If you feel like the job hunt is more discouraging and more unforgiving than ever, you aren’t alone. There are more people chasing the same roles, more contradictory advice about what a good application even looks like, and more technology sitting between you and the person who decides. Bringing in professional help to even the playing field isn’t a shortcut; it’s common sense.
You bring the experience, achievements, and goals; we’ll weave them into an argument.
Is my personal information kept confidential?
Yes. We collect only what’s necessary to create your materials, and we never sell your information. We share it only with the service providers who help us deliver the work, such as our payment processor and the systems we use to write and store your documents. Project files are kept for 12 months after final delivery and then deleted, and you can ask us to delete them sooner at any time. We handle your information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles. Our Privacy Policy lists every provider we use.
Do you guarantee interviews or job placement?
No, and anyone who does is overpromising. Our job is getting you in the room and giving you the best possible chance of making it yours. We can’t control who reads your application, whether there’s already an internal candidate, or what a hiring manager decides on the day. What we stand behind is the work itself: built on the research into how recruiters read, and covered by our Satisfaction Guarantee.
