Before we tell your story,
here’s ours.
Getting a job is its own skill. We learned that the hard way.
Now you don’t have to.
Where we started
Luke Brogden, co-founder
In June 2025, I was deep in the job search. With a criminal justice background, strong qualifications, and solid experience, I had plenty to offer on paper, but in practice, nothing to show for it. The advice was everywhere, and it all sounded the same: add more keywords, use this template for your resume, lower your standards. None of it explained why. The longer I searched, the less confident I became in what I was bringing to the table.
So I started figuring it out myself, and it worked. After eight months and countless applications, I got the job. And not just any job, but exactly the job I’d been looking for, helping people in custody find their way back into the community.
Looking around, I realised I wasn’t the only one stuck in the job search trenches. First, I helped a friend’s sister land a game design role in Germany, then worked with a lawyer friend to secure a position at a Melbourne law firm. Both had real capability. They just needed their career documents translated into language employers recognise.
The problem was clear, and it still is. The options available to Aussie job seekers are disappointing: cheap AI resume mills churning out generic documents, and overpriced traditional services still built for yesterday’s job market. Plenty of people are going it alone, tweaking, trimming, and wondering if there’s a better way. Maybe you’re one of them.
Jack (now my co-founder) recognised the gap I’d closed for a growing list of exasperated job seekers and, as good friends do, he pushed me to think bigger. So we made the process repeatable, methodical and, most importantly, accessible. We weren’t recruiters. We were outsiders who’d been stuck on the wrong side of the gap, then worked out how to conquer it.
If we were going to be bold enough to trust our new method with the careers of people we didn’t know, we had to be willing to stand behind it ourselves. See, Jack had spent years in medical administration, and his attempts to land a role in marketing had come up short. So he put it to the test. The results speak for themselves.
1 in 5applications became an interview
7 daysfrom first application to landing the job
AI changed the game. We built a system that uses it properly. We call it the Vantage Method.
What we stand for
Truth, always
It’s your story, and you’re the one who’ll be backing it up come interview time.
So the real work is positioning: we find the gold in what you give us, not between the lines, and make sure it comes through on the page.
Rigour over speed
Every project runs through the same structured frameworks, start to finish. We’d rather take the time to do it properly than deliver something fast and forgettable.
Straight answers
If you don’t need us, we’ll tell you, and we won’t sell you something that won’t help. We won’t promise you a job, either. Anyone who does is overpromising.
Priced for people, not prestige
We remember what it’s like to need help and find it priced out of reach. Good career support shouldn’t be a luxury. We built this because we wished it existed.
Stuck on the wrong side of the gap?
Opportunity Toolkit is for everyone who’s ever felt like the job search wasn’t built for them.
We built OT for you if:
- You’re applying and not hearing back.
- You’re re-entering the workforce after time away.
- You’re changing direction and can’t figure out how to make your experience translate.
- You’re a recent graduate competing against a flood of applications.
- Your resume hasn’t been touched in years, and the market has moved on without you.
- You’re not sure your documents are doing justice to what you bring to the table.
If any of that sounds familiar, you’re exactly who we built this for.
