Accessibility.
Last updated: February 2026
This page explains how Opportunity Toolkit approaches accessibility across our website and services. We believe everyone deserves career materials that open doors, regardless of ability or disability.
Our Commitment
We recognise our obligations under the Disability Discrimination Act 1992 (DDA) and are working toward conformance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 Level AA, the standard recommended by the Australian Human Rights Commission.
Website Accessibility
We aim to make our website usable for everyone, including people who use assistive technologies such as screen readers, voice recognition software, and keyboard-only navigation.
Current accessibility features:
- Keyboard navigation throughout the site
- Alt text for images
- Clear heading structure
- Sufficient colour contrast for most text
- Resizable text without loss of functionality
- Links that describe their destination
We’re working on:
- Adding captions to all video content
- Improving form labels and error messages
- Conducting a formal WCAG 2.2 audit
Our website is partially conformant with WCAG 2.2 Level AA. We are actively identifying and addressing accessibility gaps.
Service Accommodations
We’re happy to accommodate your needs throughout our process. Just let us know what works best for you.
Document formats: All career documents we create are available in:
- Microsoft Word (.docx), the most accessible editable format for screen readers
- PDF, tagged for accessibility where possible
- Large print (18-point sans-serif font) on request
- Plain text on request
If you need a different format, please ask.
Communication options: Email is our primary channel and works well with assistive technology. If you need a different communication method, please let us know and we’ll do our best to accommodate you.
Flexible process: We understand that everyone works differently. We offer:
- Extended timelines on request
- Breaking projects into smaller stages with check-ins
- Support workers or carers welcome to assist at any point
Please mention any accommodations you need when you first get in touch, or at any point during our work together.
Known Limitations
We’re honest about where we’re still improving:
| Area | Limitation | Workaround |
|---|---|---|
| Videos | Some videos lack captions | Transcripts available on request |
| Forms | Multi-step forms may have screen reader issues | Contact us by email to complete your order |
| Third-party content | Embedded payment processor has its own accessibility | Contact us for an alternative payment option |
If you encounter any barriers not listed here, please let us know.
Contact Us About Accessibility
We welcome your feedback on the accessibility of our website and services.
- Email: contact@opportunitytoolkit.com.au
- Response time: We aim to respond to all accessibility feedback within 3 business days.
We’ll keep you updated as we work to resolve any issues. When reporting an issue, it helps us if you can share:
- What you were trying to do
- What happened (or didn’t happen)
- The page or step where you encountered the problem
- What browser or device you were using (if known)
- Any assistive technology you use (if relevant)
You can also report issues anonymously. We’ll still work to fix them.
